Client Need
Statens Serum Institut (SSI) is an institute under the Ministry of Health, whose mission is that ‘We strengthen health through disease control and research’.
In February 2021 Santé were approached by SSI who were looking for urgent deliveries of Beckman Coulter compatible pipette tips for their Biomek Robots. Current supply lines were under increased pressure by the pandemic and guaranteed, stable deliveries were critical to Denmarks testing strategy and fight against Covid-19.
Santé Solution
Santé reacted with speed to SSI’s needs and worked round the clock with an existing Manufacturer of OEM Laboratory plasticware. We produced samples which were tested in a third party laboratory in country of Origin and also at SSI to ensure they were validated exactly to their current procedures. We had several virtual meetings with both the factory and client as communication and feedback throughout the entire process was key to the operation.
End Result
After an extensive validation process our products were approved and production went underway. Through our strengthened relationships direct with airline carriers we were able to fly the product across to Denmark meaning lead-times were greatly reduced which minimised any impacts to testing.
