Client Need
The DLA were looking to urgently produce large quantities of gowns which were ‘Berry Compliant’, meaning all elements in the supply chain were completely dependent on USA only. After several design iterations to ensure the technical requirements and costings aligned, Santé, in partnership with Coulmed Products, our USA distribution partners kicked off the production of 40 million isolation gowns.
Santé Solution
An aeronautical engineering company repurposed machinery to carry out the cutting process to the most stringent tolerance levels, and following clinical approval, the gowns were SGS tested and manufacturing plants were ramped up in Chicago, Orange County and Texas.
End Result
Deliveries were made every second day, with a high level of interaction between the receiving warehouses to ensure reconciliation of regular and large deliveries is seamless.
